About The Trip

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. Located in the Trikuta Hills of Jammu & Kashmir, the holy shrine is dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi, a manifestation of Goddess Durga. Katra serves as the base camp for the Vaishno Devi Yatra and welcomes millions of devotees every year.

Kashmir, often called “Paradise on Earth,” is one of the most beautiful regions in India. Located in the northernmost part of the country, Kashmir is renowned for its snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, serene lakes, and rich cultural heritage. It is an ideal destination for honeymooners, families, nature lovers, and adventure seekers.

Itinerary

Arrive by flight/train to Jammu & transfer to Katra Hotel. On arrival in Katra, check in to the hotel and take some rest.

  • The rest of the day is at leisure and you can also head out to explore local temples and market.
  • Some of the most sought after places that you can visit in Katra are the Nau Devi Temple, Bhairo Baba Temple, Bhimgarh Fort and Dera Baba Banda.Enjoy the overnight stay and dinner at the hotel in Katra.

Wake up before the day breaks, have a hearty breakfast, and start your journey towards Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, situated at the Trikuta Mountain Peak at an elevation of about 5,200 feet.

The base camp Katra is located at an altitude of 2500 feet above sea level; whereas Mata’s Bhawan is located at 5200 feet. On the way, take appropriate breaks and replenish yourself with some snacks and water at regular intervals.

You will probably be able to reach the gates of Vaishno Devi by afternoon and then proceed for the darshan. Feel the essence of spirituality that fills the atmosphere at Vaishno Devi Temple and gives out positive vibes.

After puja, aarti and darshan start trekking downhill towards the base camp. Reach Katra in the evening and proceed directly to the hotel to have a delicious dinner.

Enjoy morning breakfast at the hotel & transfer to Srinagar. On arrival check-in at your pre-booked hotel.

Take a Shikara ride for 1 hour (gondola boat), ride across the pristine Dal Lake and enjoy the water-life of Srinagar. Visit the local crafts market and shop and Walnut Wood items. Stay overnight at deluxe Houseboat/Hotel.

Today we will do full day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughal, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan Mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. We will explore the gardens and later drive back to the hotel for a dinner and overnight stay.

 

After breakfast full day excursion of Sonamarg which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar.
Sonamarg is at 98kms from Srinagar. We will take about 3 hours to reach Sonamarg.

Sonamarg is the last stop of Kashmir District. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level, Sonamarg is absolutely true to its name, which means ‘Meadow of Gold’. The moment you enter Sonamarg, the first thing that you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonamarg has few of the loveliest flower collection in Jammu and Kashmir. You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year.

Return to Srinagar House Boat/hotel by the evening for overnight stay.

After breakfast we check out of the hotel in Srinagar and proceed to Gulmarg.

Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful resorts in the valley. It is at 52kms from Srinagar. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently. Gulmarg boasts Asia’s highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft).

You can also try skiing on your own. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and also has highest golf course in the world with 18 holes.

 Dinner & overnight at Srinagar hotel.

After breakfast we check out of the hotel in Gulmarg and proceed to Pahalgam.

On arrival check in to the hotel. Arguably Pahalgam is one of the most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) offers breathtaking views of Himalayas. On arrival we check in to the hotel.
Visit the Chandanwari, Aru Vally & Betab Valley enjoy the bounty of Nature at Pahalgam on direct payment basis. 

Dinner & overnight at Pahalgam hotel.

 
After breakfast we check out of the hotel in Pahalgam & depart to Patnitop. 

Patnitop has enough attractions to draw tourists on their holiday in Jammu. A perfect retreat for

nature lovers and adventure buffs, Patnitop has places like Madhatop, Nathatop, and beautiful Shiv

Garh. 

The Hindu temples and sites like Gaurikund and Sudh Mahadev Mandir are amongst the top

attractions in Patnitop. The interesting Billo ki Powri, which is a staircase carved out of a rock, also

draws the attention of the tourists in Patnitop. Later drop to Jammu Airport/Railway station for departure to the next destination.

Domestic Cancellation Policy

  • Once the booking is done- 20% of package cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • 30 days prior to departure- 30% of package cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • 15 days prior to departure- 50% of package cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • 10 days till the departure- 100% of package cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • No Show No Refund.

Payment Policy

  • Payment Policy:
  • 50% of total land package cost shall be paid to initiate a booking if the travel date is more than 30 days from the date of bookings.
  • 50% of total land package cost amount shall be paid before 35 days of the departure date.
  • Any Flight bookings shall be paid 100% in advance.
